Kaitlynn Carter’s Evolving View of Ex Miley Cyrus’s New Album

Kaitlynn Carter’s Unwavering Commitment to Wild Horse Advocacy: A Personal Journey and Her Views on Past Relationships

Kaitlynn Carter, the multi-talented influencer, podcaster, and entrepreneur, has intentionally stepped back from the intense media spotlight that once illuminated her every move. Yet, her passion for meaningful causes and her candid reflections on personal growth continue to resonate. While her past high-profile relationships garnered significant attention, Carter, now 32, is channeling her energy into ventures that align with her values, most notably her dedicated advocacy work with the American Wild Horse Campaign. This organization is at the forefront of protecting wild horses from inhumane treatment, a cause that has unexpectedly become a profound mission close to Kaitlynn’s heart, stemming from a lifelong connection to these magnificent animals. Her journey, marked by self-discovery and a renewed focus on purpose, offers a compelling narrative of evolving priorities and unwavering commitment to making a tangible difference.

Kaitlynn Carter has maintained a deliberate distance from the public eye since her widely publicized separation from Miley Cyrus, 27, which occurred over a year ago. Despite the intense speculation and media frenzy surrounding their brief but impactful romance, Carter assures fans and observers that there is absolutely no lingering “bad blood” between them. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife, Kaitlynn openly shared her feelings, stating, “You know, there’s never been any bad blood between us and there’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing people I care about realizing their dreams and the things that they’re really passionate about. I feel like that’s what’s happening for her now.” This sentiment underscores a maturity and genuine goodwill often rare in the aftermath of celebrity splits, highlighting Carter’s capacity for supportive friendship and respect for her former partner’s journey.

The connection between Kaitlynn and Miley was initially rooted in a deep friendship, which then blossomed into a romantic relationship following significant life changes for both women. This transition occurred after Miley’s highly publicized breakup with her now ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, 30, and Kaitlynn’s split from Brody Jenner, 37. The initial sparks of their romance were captured during their romantic Italy vacation in August of the previous year, an event that instantly ignited tabloid headlines and public fascination. Following their return, the pair remained inseparable, navigating a whirlwind trip to New York Fashion Week together, a testament to their budding connection. The Hills: New Beginnings star was also a steadfast presence during one of Miley’s most emotionally charged performances – “Slide Away” – at the 2019 MTV VMAs. This song was widely believed to be inspired by her separation from Liam, and Kaitlynn’s supportive presence backstage further solidified the public perception of their bond during that pivotal period in Miley’s life.

After their relationship concluded, Miley Cyrus transitioned into a romantic connection with her long-time friend Cody Simpson, 23, a relationship that spanned from October 2019 to September 2020. When asked about this development, Kaitlynn shared her perspective with us, remarking, “Oh, I mean I don’t really have any feelings about her and Cody split.” Her response highlighted her focus on Miley’s overall well-being and professional achievements, rather than dwelling on the intricacies of her subsequent relationships. Instead, Carter chose to applaud the Hannah Montana alum’s undeniable “work ethic” and her recent slew of critically acclaimed new music. “You know, I think everyone knows she’s a force and her work ethic is something that’s really to be admired so I’m just really happy for her that she seems to be accomplishing everything that she wants to right now,” Kaitlynn added, conveying a genuine admiration for Miley’s drive and success in her artistic endeavors and personal life.

Indeed, Miley Cyrus has been captivating audiences and burning up the music charts with her latest releases, including the hit single “Midnight Sky” off her highly anticipated album Plastic Hearts. While Miley continues to dominate the music scene, Kaitlynn Carter has been diligently cultivating her own professional landscape. She launched The Bright Side podcast, a platform where she engagingly discusses a wide array of topics including life experiences, relationships, and personal growth, offering listeners an authentic glimpse into her evolving perspective. In addition to her burgeoning podcast, Kaitlynn remains actively involved in running her e-commerce platform, Foray Collective, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit. However, beyond her successful business ventures and media appearances, the reality star has embraced a deeply personal and active role as an ambassador with the American Wild Horse Campaign. This pivotal organization is dedicated to the critical mission of protecting wild horses and fiercely advocating against the inhumane and often brutal treatment of these majestic animals – a cause that has become profoundly close to Kaitlynn’s heart, representing a significant shift towards impactful activism.

I am beyond excited, honored and proud to announce that I am an official Ambassador for @freewildhorses! The wild horses that roam our Western public lands are national treasures, but unfortunately, every year they are rounded up en masse and sent to a lifetime of being warehoused in government holding corrals. Over 50,000 are stuck in these facilities. I was shocked and saddened when I first learned that this was happening. I hope that you will watch this video, become informed, and get involved! Follow @freewildhorses and let’s #KeepWildHorsesWild!

A Deep-Rooted Passion: Kaitlynn Carter’s Personal Connection to Wild Horse Advocacy

Kaitlynn’s profound commitment to the American Wild Horse Campaign stems from a deeply personal connection forged in her formative years. Recalling her childhood in Peterborough, New Hampshire, she shared, “When I was growing up I attended this equestrian summer camp and each time I went to the camp, I was assigned one horse for the entire duration of my stay there.” This unique experience instilled in her a profound sense of responsibility and an unparalleled bond with these animals. “And I feel like because I was entrusted with that responsibility at such an early age, it really had a big impact on me. I was able to bond each summer with a horse and ever since then whenever I need to get back to my roots and feel really grounded or if I’m in a stressful situation I’ll always turn to horses,” she eloquently explained. This deep-seated connection highlights how horses have always been a source of comfort, stability, and grounding for her. It was through social media that Kaitlynn initially stumbled upon the American Wild Horse Campaign, sparking her curiosity. Once she began to delve into the organization’s research and mission, she was utterly shocked to discover the pervasive and critical issue of wild horse population management across the United States, realizing the urgent need for intervention and advocacy.

Delving deeper into the issue, Kaitlynn described the harsh realities faced by wild horses: “The Bureau of Land Management is rounding up horses…and forcing them into these little pens. And it’s really traumatic for the horses and a lot of them actually die in the process, either from stress, like they’ll have a heart attack or a lot of them just get injured or trampled and so it’s a pretty inhumane process.” This stark portrayal brings to light the severe physical and psychological toll these roundups inflict. The sheer brutality of the method, which often involves helicopters chasing panicked herds, leads to significant injuries, stampedes, and even fatal heart attacks from extreme stress and exhaustion. Tragically, many horses, particularly the young and old, do not survive the traumatic experience or the subsequent confinement. The devastating scale of the problem is immense, with over 50,000 wild horses currently warehoused in government holding corrals, living out their lives in confined spaces rather than roaming free on their ancestral lands. Kaitlynn emphasized that this deeply troubling situation is not without humane alternatives. “There are other ways of managing the wild horse population that American Wild Horse Campaign has put a lot of resources and research into,” she clarified. The AWHC champions a science-backed and ethical approach, advocating for solutions such as their Humane Sterilization Program. This program focuses on darting mares with a safe, reversible birth control vaccine (PZP), allowing herds to remain intact on the range without exponential population growth, thereby avoiding the necessity of traumatic roundups. Kaitlynn passionately believes this represents a far more sustainable, compassionate, and effective long-term solution to the complex challenge of wild horse management. She asserts with conviction that these iconic animals, integral to America’s natural heritage, “deserve advocacy and protection” from such inhumane practices, and she is dedicated to being a voice for them.
